Years ago, my son was diagnosed with autism. Like any parent, we were desperate to 'fix' it—we threw every therapy at him. It wasn’t until I sat down with a special needs planner that the world finally shifted. Together, we found a way to provide for his lifelong care, even after I’m gone. That was the moment I let go of my own expectations and finally accepted my son for exactly who he is. That experience inspired me to pursue my Master’s in financial planning. I went through the core prerequisites and the CFP requirements, but then I stumbled upon Financial Life Planning. I leaned into the coaching. The motivational interviewing. I learned the power of finally shutting up enough to truly listen. But I noticed one thing was always glossed over: The micro-expressions. The body language. The nonverbal cues carry significantly more information than the words themselves. I realized that if I can decode those silent signals, I can help other families find the same peace and acceptance that I found. So, I decided to become an expert in nonverbal communication for the financial planning community. I’m here to bridge that gap
